THE KARO GAME-WARRE

Warre is a Karo game consisting of a board carved from a tree called hakka.The warre ,which is played by two persons,has a double row of twelve holes played with pebbles also known as warre.Each player has five thin short sticks called wakki,meaning cattle. The winner who has taken up all the wakki of his competitoris said to have taken all the cattle of the loser. the loser is reffered to as a person is said to have failed to defend his cattle.

Usually the Karo play these games in their Shuppa (public shelters)
