This tour covers the south and north part of Ethiopia. Up on arrival, you meet our representative and get transferred to hotel. On the next day, you fly to the Lake shore city of Bahirdar and visit  the Blue Nile Falls (This Falls is particularly spectacular during the rainy season of June, July and August). On the same day, you have boat trip on Lake Tana to visit the nearest monasteries of Ura Kidane Meheret and Azwa Mariam of Zeghe peninsula. Next, you drive to the medieval city of Gondar by paying a short visit of the Awramba village. In Gonder, you visit the magnificent Imperial Castles compound which was the center of politics in the first half of 17thC.Also you visit the bath of King Fasiledas and the most famous church of Debrebirhan selassie to admire the Ethiopian church paintings style in its superb form. On the next day morning; you exhaustively visit spectacular Semien Mountain National Park and visit the flora and fauna of this scenic National and drive back to Gondar. In the morning, you fly to the historic town of Lalibela and visit the marvelous rock hewn churches of King Lalibela, one of the world Heritage sites registered by UNESCO. Next, you fly to the ancient city of Axum and visit its historical and archeological site which includes the magnificent Obelisks of Axum and Axum Tsion church. Finally, you fly back to Addis and have a city tour that includes the National Museum, The Holy Trinity Cathedral church and Merkato, the largest open market of East Africa. On the next day, you drive to ArbaMinch by visiting the stele of Tiya. On Sunday, you will travel to Turmi, across the land of the Derashe, Konso and Tsemay people. On Monday, you will do an excursion to visit the Karo village of Korcho which is perched in a magnificent setting overlooking the Omo River. During special ceremonies the Karo adore painting themselves in the imitation of the plumage of the guinea fowl. Today is Monday Market at Turmi. Therefore, you will have an opportunity to visit the Hammar people and their local products in their colorful market. On Tuesday, you visit the Dassanatch people and their village which is situated on the other side of the Omo River. Then, leave the heart of the Hammar land across Dimeka and Key Afar to Jinka. En-route with a short stop at Dimeka, you visit Tuesday Women’s Market of the Hammar, Benna and sometimes Tsemay People.on the next day, you visit fascinating Mursi people whose women adore wearing geometrical lip plates in the slits of their lower lips. These people take you in the heart of Mago National Park. In the afternoon visit the Ari villages, their neat compounds, and fertile surrounds. After a short visit of the South Omo Research Center, drive down via the Tsemay land and gazing over the terraced hills of Konso to ArbaMinch. En-route at Key Afar, you visit the colorful Thursday Market of the Banna, the Tsemay and the Ari people with their local agricultural products.In the morning, you take the diversion route to the highland people of the Dorze to visit their excellent beehive shaped bamboo houses, fertile grounds of false banana and colorful waving products. Then, return to Addis Ababa. In the evening, you will be invited fare well dinner in one of the best traditional restaurants of the capital with folkloric music and dances of the different Ethiopian people.

Day 1) Saturday, October 22 2011
Arrive in Addis Ababa, meet our representative and get transferred to hotel.

Day 2) Sunday, October 23 2011
In the morning, Transfer to the airport and fly to Bahirdar; ET 126.After check in to the hotel, set out for a boat trip on Lake Tana to see beautiful island monasteries and their valuable treasures which include biblical wall paintings, crowns of different Ethiopian Kings, ancient illuminated parchment books, superb crosses etc. In the afternoon, you drive to the magnificent Blue Nile Falls. It is about 400 meter wide with full flood (in June, July and August to mid September).

Day 3) Monday, October 24 2011
In the morning, drive to Gondar. On the way with a little detour from the main road, you visit the village of the Awramba society (unique society in Ethiopia for their life style (philosophy) and custom) and their colorful woven products. Then, tour of Gondar which includes the visit the Royal Enclosure with its magnificent castles dated from the 17th and 18th century (world heritage site), the bath of king Fasiledes, the remarkable church of Debrebrihan Selassie with its breathtaking 17th century wall and ceiling paintings.

Day 4) Tuesday, October 25 2011
Excursion to the Simien Mountains National Park (World Heritage Site) to visit its superb scenery, magnificent land form and the endemic fauna like the Gelada baboon (the bleeding heart baboon). In addition to this, you will be able to visit the unique flora which includes, the Giant Lobelia(Lobelia  rynchopatelum),St. John’s Wort (Hypericum revolutum), Giant heath(Erica arborea), Red-hot pokers or torch lilies ( the Kniphofia), Everlasting flowers (Helichrysum), Sodom’s Apple (Solannum indicum), the ivory colored Abyssinian Wild Rose(Rosa Abyssinica), Koso(Hagenia abyssinica), geranium, alchemilla etc. Then, return to Gondar.

Day 5) Wednesday, October 26 2011
Transfer to the airport to fly to Lalibela; ET 122. After check in to the hotel visit the first and second groups of King Lalibela's 12th.C.Rockhewn churches (World Heritage Site). Although all of these
churches are carved out of huge blocks of rocks, each of them displays unique architectural features from the other.

Day 6) Thursday, October 27 2011
In the morning, finalize visiting the second group of King Lalibela's rock hewn churches. Then, transfer to the airport to fly to Axum; ET122. In Axum (world heritage site), visit the famous stele park with its ancient huge monolithic obelisks, ruined palaces of different Axumite kings including that of the ruined Palace the Queen of Sheba, ancient stone inscriptions, subterranean tombs, the small but rich archeological site museum of Axum and the church of St. Mary of Zion where the original Ark of the Covenant is believed to be housed etc.

Day 7) Friday, October 28 2011
Finalize your visit of Axum and get transferred to the airport and fly back to Addis Ababa; ET 129 Then, transfer from the airport to hotel for sightseeing tour of Addis Ababa which includes the Ethnological
Museum in the former palace of King Hailesillassie, the National (Archaeological) Museum where, among other archaeological findings the oldest hominid fossil (Lucy) is exhibited; the superb Holy Trinity cathedral, the various historical monuments of Addis Ababa; and Mercato _the largest open-air market in Africa. At first sight this market appears full of chaos and impenetrable mass of stalls, items and people. However, a deeper inspection reveals that this market is pretty organized with different sections for different products.

Day 8) Saturday, October 29 2011
Drive via the scenic Hosana road to ArbaMinch. En-route you visit Tiya (world Heritage site by UNSCO). This site is famous for its ancient monolithic stele which is engraved with some fascinating symbols. The people who settled along this route include the Silte, the Kembata, the Hadya, and the Welayta. En-route, you will have a short stop at the colorful Saturday market of Hosana to visit at least the earliest stage of this bustling market.

Day 9) Sunday, October 30 2011
Drive across the land of the Derashe, Konso and Tsemay people to Turmi. The Konso people are famous for their traditional terracing system and Waka Totem (Grave wooden totem). Today, you will be able to visit an old and fortified Konso village. Then, proceed across Weito valley to Turmi. En-route you visit the beautiful Cushitic speaking people of Erbore in their village.

Day 10) Monday, October 31 2011
Excursion drive to Murule to visit the Karo village of Korcho which is perched in a magnificent setting overlooking the Omo River. These people are very small in number and they live at the bank of Omo
River. During special ceremonies the Karo adore painting themselves in the imitation of the plumage of the guinea fowl. Today is Monday Market at Turmi. Therefore, you will have an opportunity to visit the
Hammar people and their local products in their colorful market.

Day 11) Tuesday, November 01 2011
Excursion drive to Omorate to visit the Dassanatch people and their village which is situated on the other side of the Omo River. Then, leave the heart of the Hammar land across Dimeka and Key Afar to Jinka. En-route with a short stop at Dimeka, you visit what is known as the Tuesday Women’s Market of the Hammar, Benna and sometimes Tsemay People.

Day 12) Wednesday, November 02 2011
Excursion drives to the fascinating Mursi people whose women adore wearing geometrical lip plates in the slits of their lower lips. The drive to the village these people takes you in the heart of Mago National Park. In the afternoon visit the Ari villages, their neat compounds, and fertile surrounds.

Day 13) Thursday, November 03 2011
After a short visit of the South Omo Research Center, drive down via the Tsemay land and gazing over the terraced hills of Konso to ArbaMinch. En-route at Key Afar, you visit the colorful Thursday Market of
the Banna, the Tsemay and the Ari people with their local agricultural products.

Day 14) Friday, November 04 2011
