Omo Valley is one of the few remaining places in the world where genuine tribal life is exhibited. Take a look at the following suggested tour itineraries; please note you can always ask for a program that exactly fits into your time and interest.

You will take a 4WD and drive southward, you will have a short photo stop at Lake Zeway, and then continue to Langano where you take your lunch and be ready for the afternoon’s Park visit. In the afternoon, you will drive in to the Abjata Shalla Park to visit the two lakes lying side by side plus some bird life. Your next stop will be at Arbaminch and before the day ends you have a chance to the interesting Dorze people their beehive shaped houses and their weavery. Then you will have another full day the morning of which is devoted for a game drive in the most scenic Netchsar national Park. There you will visit the Swaynes hartebeast and a number of Zebres, About two hours boat ride on Lake Chamo also gives you a refreshing and inspiring experience. You will visit interesting bird activities and the crocodile market plus Hippos. On your way back, you will need a half-day for Wendogenet , its hot spring, plus a walk with in the forest . The next morning the Awassa Lake and the fish market where you observe a number of birds will be part of the tour.

In this tour, please note that you have visited all of the seven rift valley lakes plus two extra things the Dorze people and the Wendogenet Resort . If you can take a flight (twice a week - on Wednesdays and on Saturdays) you can finish this same tour with in 3 nights and 4 days, but the Dorze people will not be included.



Arrive in Addis Ababa, meet our staff and get transferred to hotel

Drive from Addis Ababa across the rift valley visiting Lake Zeway which is the largest lake of the northern group of rift valley Lakes, the Abijata- Shalla Lakes National Park mainly for its bird life and Lake Langano; it’s one of the few lakes in Ethiopia to have been declared bilharzias-free. This will be the place you going to spend the night.

Drive to the highland people of Dorze on the way to Arbaminch to visit their excellent beehive shaped bamboo houses, fertile grounds of false banana and colorful waving products. In getting there you will tour the forty springs after which the town was named after and the country’s famous crocodile’s farm (Zoo)

Overnight: Swaynes hotel


Early morning game drive in Netch Sar National Park to visit the endemic Swaynes heart beest, Kudu, Antelopes, Zebras, and the view of Lake Abaya and Lake Chamo. Situated between two of Ethiopia’s Rift Valley Lakes, this park is one of the most scenic national parks in Africa. In the afternoon, you will have boat trip on Lake Chamo to visit some herds of hippo, aquatic birdlife, and huge sunbathing crocodiles on its shore.

Drive to Wondogenet town. In Wondogenet resort, you can walk in the lush forests of the surrounding green area or relax in the natural thermal bath and pool of Wondogenet Resort. The resort ground itself is home of the beautiful Black and white Abyssinian Colobus Monkey and other monkeys with abundant birdlife. This ideal place to seat back and enjoy oneself.

Overnight: Wabishebele Hotel


 In the morning, drive to Awasa to visit its fish market and its birdlife on the shore of Lake Awassa. Then proceed to Addis Ababa and in the evening, you are invited farewell dinner in one of the best traditional restaurants of the capital. Finally you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight
